Nailed to a cross...


Filipino Mary Jane Mamangon is nailed to a cross in her portrayal of Jesus Christ in the village of Saint Lucia on Good Friday, in Pampanga province about 37 miles north of Manila, March 25, 2005. The Roman Catholic church frowns on the gory spectacle held in the Philippine village every Good Friday but that does not deter the faithful from emulating the suffering of Christ and taking the painful route to penitence.
